How to fix a sliding glass door
How to fix a sliding glass door?
Fixing a sliding glass door is challenging for various reasons. Though anyone can address smaller issues about it, only the expert professionals should be trusted for the larger issues.
Fixing through roller adjustment
First of all, make the sliding door open and then go for closing the same to find out whether the door is squeaking at the top section or the bottom section. On those occasions, when the sound is found to be coming from the top, one should understand that the rollers are adjusted too high.
On such occasions, the upper section of the door gets rubbed with the upper channel or the frame. However, on those occasions, when the squeaking sound comes from the bottom section, one should understand that the rollers are too low, and the base section of the door is getting abstained through the track. Upon finding out the reason behind squeaking one can do the needful adjustments
Another method
It is important to find out the small holes caused by the machines for adjustment of the screws at each roller. This should be figured out within as well as at the exterior sections of the door at the base layer. Post figuring out, it is recommended to put in the screwdriver tip within any of the holes and rotate the same gradually to make sure that the tip finds the slot perfectly.
Once done, it is recommended to elevate one specific terminal of the door and rotate the screwdriver in a counter-clockwise direction to bring the door down that is positioned too high. Similarly, it can be rotated in clockwise to lift a door that is getting rubbed on the track. In general, a couple of full turns is adequate to address a flawed roller.
